“The Colour of Time”
“The Colour of Time” combines the symbolism of nature, time, femininity, and personal growth. Flowers growing from a clock suggest continuity, cycles of life, inner growth, and our enduring connection to natural rhythms. The woman’s eye, adorned with petals, becomes a metaphor for seasonal change, emotional cycles, and the passage of time. A seated fashion figure atop the clock represents self-possession, reflection, and the idea of embracing time rather than fearing its inevitable flow. Through layered textures, vibrant imagery, and subtle symbolic details, I aimed to portray the inner life of a woman as intrinsically linked to nature, growth, and temporal rhythms. This work is a meditation on balance, self-acceptance, resilience, and beauty at every age. Time here is not linear but cyclical, unfolding like a bloom, and the collage seeks to express how memory, experience, and emotional evolution shape identity. By combining visual metaphors and delicate compositional layering, the piece invites viewers to contemplate their own relationship with time, change, and self-discovery.
